The old town with Getreidegasse, Cathedral Square and Mirabell Castle

Special features/tips: Salzburg's most famous shopping street, the Getreidegasse begins at the town hall. Most of the houses have retained their facades from the 17th and 18th centuries. House number 9 on this street is Mozart's birthplace.
Another beautiful walk is also recommended the Mozart and Residenzplatz, and through the Mirabell Gardens, decorated with flowers and fountains, on the other side of the Salzach (via the Marko-Feingold-Steg or Müllner Steg).

The road is most attractive in spring, shortly after it opens, as you drive along real snow walls. In addition, many young animals can be seen in the wildlife park

The steep path from the poor mountain farming village to the tourist resort; from the first ski in 1898 to a leading winter sports resort; By the way, there is a photo of the interior of the kitchen from the Ski Museum when it was still an inhabited farmhouse, hanging on the first floor (next to the chickens).

Pinzga Railway - steam train

The normal Pinzga train is included in the mobility ticket - but an excursion on the steam train is subject to a charge! The normal Pinzga cable car can be easily combined with the Tauern cycle path and a visit to the Krimml waterfalls.
Rafting im Motion Center Lofer

Special features/tips: From family rafting for everyone to adrenaline-filled power rafting, everything is possible. The so-called Motion Center in Lofer is one of the most professional whitewater providers in Austria and has rafted tens of thousands of whitewater lovers down the Saalach without any accidents; the owner, Andreas Voglstätter, was a European kayak champion; They also offer canyoning in the Seisenberg Gorge.

It also has a lot of sights that are worth taking some time to take a closer look at.
Salzburg in one day is usually an absurdity, but here is a tip from us:
→ First via Salzburg South to Hellbrunn Palace to the fountains (make sure you also come for a guided tour - book in advance if necessary). → Then continue on the Alpine Road to the center and take one of the (expensive) old town garages or the Park&Ride Salzburg Süd and then the trolleybus lines 3+8 to the center. → Getreidegasse, Mozart's birthplace, possibly the Hohensalzburg Fortress and the view from the Mirabell Gardens to the fortress.

Sigmund-Thun Klamm

Special features/tips: Located behind the Sigmund Thun Gorge is the Klammsee. A circular hike can be easily combined.

Opening hours/prices: early June to mid-October; Included is entry to the electricity and water world (exhibition), the bus ride from the parking lot to the inclined elevator, the inclined elevator ride to 1640 m and the subsequent bus ride past the Limberg dam and the Wasserfallboden reservoir to the Moserboden reservoir;
Special features/tips: If the weather forecast is uncertain, check the webcam so that you don't go up in vain. The journey is an experience in itself, but a long one! For the adventurous: A via ferrata has been built into the dam wall. If you like that kind of thing: definitely take the via ferrata set with you.

Biberg summer toboggan run

Special features/tips: Rolba Run a 1.6 km long summer toboggan run. You start at an altitude of 1200 meters and drive quickly or comfortably over 61 exciting curves into the valley.
At the Berggasthof Huggenberg there is an adventure playground and petting zoo. An hour's walk from the mountain station of the chairlift starts an adventure theme park "Nature & Stone" with 13 different stations.

Swarovski Crystal Worlds

Special features/tips: The Crystal Worlds are the furthest away destination. Since, to our knowledge, there is nothing comparable, it is but it is “obligatory” to include this mixture of art and crystal in this list!
The majority of the facility is underground, so you can barely navigate the park with an umbrella when the weather is nice! ;)

Vorderkaser Gorge

You can visit the natural monuments on a beautiful day an afternoon of swimming in the Schüttachgraben at the entrance to the Vorderkaser Gorge. Three swimming ponds, barbecue areas and a great natural playground with rafting are available.
Directions: Maishofen → Saalfelden → Weißbach Immediately after Weißbach → rechts die Seisenberg Gorge Ein kleines Stück weiter → On the left is the Lamprecht Cave and a little further on, also on the left, is the Vorderkaser Gorge with the natural bathing areas.
